The God Who Exists Beyond Time (And Why That Changes Everything)

Gods Eternal Nature
In God’s Eternal Nature & His Faithfulness, Min. Jide Joseph reveals how God exists beyond time, operating simultaneously in the past, present, and future. Drawing from Psalm 90:2, Psalm 139:16, and Daniel 11:32, this teaching shows that true strength and spiritual exploits begin with knowing God – not just experiencing Him.

God is not bound by time.

“From everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” (Psalm 90:2)

Before creation, before time began, God already existed. And because He created time, He is not confined by it.

He exists in your past, your present, and your future – all at once.

This means there is nothing in your life that is outside His reach.

Nothing in your past He cannot address

Nothing in your present He cannot handle

Nothing in your future He has not already seen

Your life is not random.

“All my days were written… before one of them came to be.” (Psalm 139:16)

“The spirit of man knows the things of a man…” (1 Corinthians 2:11)

Everything concerning your life has already been written and deposited in your spirit. At times, this reality surfaces in moments we call déjà vu – small reminders that we are exactly where we are meant to be.

But beyond Scripture, we were given real-life glimpses into this nature of God.

Min. Jide shared the account of John Paul Jackson, who had an experience where he was taken into a past (real, historical) moment in Israel. He found himself in a marketplace, dressed like the people, understanding and speaking Hebrew – something he did not know naturally.

The people around him were discussing David becoming king, even though Saul was still on the throne. As he moved through the crowd, he encountered David himself. And David said to him, “I know who you are. I know Who sent you. And we shall meet again.”

This kind of encounter is only possible because God exists beyond time. He is not limited to one moment – He governs all moments.

Another powerful testimony brought this even closer.

Min. Jide shared how, years after his father passed, he carried a question in his heart about his father’s salvation. He brought it before God. Weeks later, he had a dream where a message came to him: “My brother is okay.” It was a confirmation that his father was in Christ.

God answered a present concern about a past reality.

That is what it means for God to be eternal.

He is not reacting to events – He is already present across them.

This is what sets God apart from every other voice.

The enemy does not know your future – he only predicts.

God is already there.

So when condemnation speaks about your past, or fear speaks about your future, ask yourself: who told them?

Only God has authority over your timeline.

We see this again in Scripture. The story of Rahab in Joshua 2 shows that what appears to be coincidence is actually orchestration. The spies did not randomly arrive at her house. God had already seen her response and positioned her accordingly. Her decision placed her in the lineage of Christ.

God writes with intention.

But beyond all of this, the goal is not just to witness God’s power.

“This is eternal life: that they may know You…” (John 17:3)

The goal is to know Him.

“Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32)

The order matters:

Know God → Strength → Exploits

This knowledge is personal. It cannot be transferred.

David could face Goliath because he had history with God – the lion and the bear. That history became his confidence.

In your own life:

Remember what God has done

Give thanks even when it’s difficult

Let your knowledge of God outweigh your emotions

Because when you truly know God, you step into a life that is not defined by circumstances – but by His eternal nature and His faithfulness.
