Faith: The Bridge Between the Seen and the Unseen

Redemption
Faith is more than belief — it’s the invisible bridge that connects what God has already finished in the spirit to what we’re waiting to see in our lives. In this week’s continuation of the Laws of Redemption series, we explore how faith turns redemption into reality and why focusing on God’s Word, not our circumstances, is the secret to seeing lasting transformation.

The Laws of Redemption series continued this week, and this time, Pastor Goke shifted our focus to the Law of Faith — a reminder that while the first three laws (Identification, Atonement, and Substitution) reveal what Jesus has done for us, the remaining three laws call us to action. Faith, therefore, is not just a concept; it’s our first response to redemption.

From Romans 3:25–28, we learn that faith is the key that opens the door to everything already signed, sealed, and delivered in the Spirit. The finished works of Christ are complete, but manifestation happens when we engage those works through faith. Hebrews 11:1 calls faith “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” It’s the inner conviction that what God has said is already true, even before we see it.

Faith is what converts the intangible realities of the Spirit into tangible experiences in our physical world. Through faith, impossibilities bend, and what once seemed unreachable becomes possible. It is that quiet assurance that God is who He says He is — and that His promises are more real than our present circumstances.

Pastor Goke reminded us that faith is best experienced, not defined. Every believer has already exercised faith by receiving salvation. That same principle applies to every other area of our lives. Whatever brought you to God in the first place is the same faith that will keep you standing, growing, and walking in the realities of redemption.

Faith, however, is not automatic — it must be activated and sustained. Romans 10:17 teaches that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The Word is faith’s address; it’s where faith lives. To sustain faith, we must fill our minds and hearts with the Word until it reshapes our thoughts, attitudes, and expectations. Just like a bodybuilder trains his muscles, we must train our minds with the Word to strengthen our faith.

The second way to sustain faith is through prayer. Jude 1:20 tells us to build ourselves up in our most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit. The Word and prayer are inseparable — faith cannot thrive where prayer is absent, and prayer without the Word quickly becomes empty. When God gives a word, guard it in prayer. The Word is the raw material; prayer is the force that shapes it into manifestation.

We were reminded that faith requires focus. Matthew 14:28–30 illustrates how Peter began to sink not because Jesus’ word failed, but because his attention shifted from the Word to the storm. The moment we begin to magnify our circumstances, faith gives way to fear. The enemy thrives on distraction; he stirs turbulence to shift our gaze from God’s promise. That’s why Hebrews 12:2 urges us to fix our eyes on Jesus — the author and finisher of our faith.

Faith isn’t passive belief; it’s an active lifestyle. It speaks, acts, and persists even when results are delayed. When your mind wanders, let that be your cue to recall the Word concerning your situation. The more you train yourself in this habit, the more automatic it becomes. Soon, your instinctive response to trouble will no longer be worry but the Word.

Ultimately, faith is how we live from the inside out. What happens outside us isn’t as powerful as what happens within us. It’s not the water around the ship that sinks it, but the water that gets inside. When we guard our inner life with the Word and prayer, we build a faith that can weather any storm.

Faith is the bridge between what is unseen and what is seen. It’s how we translate God’s promises into reality and live out the fullness of redemption. So, don’t let your faith go dormant. Speak the Word, guard your atmosphere, and hold on to what God has said until it becomes your lived reality.
