USHERING

ushering

Ushering is a ministry of service and hospitality in the house of God. Ushers are spiritual gatekeepers, ensuring order, assisting members, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that allows for un-distracted worship.

The role requires patience, discipline, and a deep sense of responsibility. A well-trained usher contributes significantly to the overall experience of a church service, setting the tone for worshippers from the moment they arrive.

The team is tasked to:

  •  Be the first point of contact for members and visitors, ensuring they feel welcomed.
  •  Maintain order in the church before, during, and after service.
  •  Assist in seating members efficiently, directing them to available seats.
  • Guide congregants during offerings, prayers, and altar calls.
  •  Provide direction and handle inquiries from members and guests.
  • Assist in emergencies by offering immediate support and directing people as needed.
  • Be spiritually alert to the needs of the service and move accordingly.
